I guess today is Twilight Friday - must have it on my mind - have been rereading Eclipse to get ready for the movie.

Breaking Dawn

Have you heard - they have picked a director for the fourth Twilight film - Breaking Dawn. It is Bill Condon - you may have heard of his films, Dreamgirls, Gods and Monsters and Kinsey - hopefully he will do the book justice - there is a lot of material in there. Everyone wants two films - you can't put everything in just one film. I hope he does a good job like Catherine Hardwicke and Chris Weitz. We will see!!

Eclipse

Just two months till Eclipse comes out - can't wait - but could there be trouble on the horizon - up in Vancouver they are doing reshoots with the three main actors - Bella, Edward and Jacob - - doesn't sound good at all - supposedly promos start next week for the film and then publicity - hopefully they will get it done in time and will surpass the other two.

Sandra Bullock

What do you all think about the news about Sandra Bullock? Can you believe that she actually adopted a boy three months ago and has kept it a secret? I think it is great that she has a new baby and that she is getting on with her life. More power to her!!

Sherlock Holmes

We watched Sherlock Holmes last night- I thought it was pretty good. Robert Downey & Jude Law make a great team - they should pair them off in other things. It was very dark and a lot of action. Also there could be a second one from the way the ending was. You should watch it!!

My Birthday

I celebrated my birthday yesterday. My dearest friend flew in from Texas and we spent the day at Skaneateles-visiting all the stores, had lunch on the porch at the Sherwood Inn, visited some more antique stores and then had a wonderful dinner at the Inn of the Seasons with family and close friends. My mom's first cousins- my second cousins drove up from Katonah for my special day. It was truly a wonderful birthday that I will never forget!!

New Book by the Bed

I put a new book up - everyone should read this. This author has a blog also - orangette. Her book is about different recipes and the stories behind it - very interesting and the receipes sound delicious. Check it out!

Happy Earth Day!

I almost forgot to wish everyone a Happy Earth Day! This weekend go out and do something for the earth - whether it be planting something, picking up trash, recycling, reusing, whatever but just do it!!! In fact we should do it every day !! Every day should be Earth Day!!

We went out and bought Avatar - and it was great - the colors - the story - everything about it was great. I really enjoy it. If you have not seen it I would definitely recommend it. I guess it was about 40% people and 60% CGI - pretty soon we won't need actors for anything - everything will be computer generated.

LOST

Last night's show did not disappoint - they revealed that the smoke monster was Jack's father instead of his real father. I couldn't believe that Claire went with them to the sub. Sayid definitely did not kill Desmond either - it is getting good!

GLEE

I just got caught up on some tv shows. Watched Glee!! I do like that show. I especially like Sue Sylvester's "Vogue" video - it was great. I remembering watching that all the time when it was on MTV - I am really dating myself especially since it has been years since MTV showed video's. I love all the singing.

My 50th Birthday

My birthday is coming up this week and this past week at my office, all my coworkers threw me a great 50th birthday and also 30 years at Pediatric Cardiology. I was so surprised!! They decorated my office with posters, and 25 black balloons hanging from the ceiling. They also put on a lovely luncheon with also a Twilight cake!! They gave me a lovely basket with so many nice goodies - gifts cards, lotion, shirt, book, pen, candle, wine, wine glass, candy and a subscription to People. Others also gave me some lovely presents - my own Twilight bag with Twilight pillowcases to boot!! Let's just say it was a twilight birthday !! Again I was blown away!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while - I have been staying at my Mom's since she has been back from rehab. Might be there a few more days until she is comfortable staying on her own - check back and see if I have posted anything.
