Royal Wedding con't

This past royal wedding brought back a lot of memories of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' wedding. My best friend was getting married the same year so we decided to watch it. My dad got up super early and taped the whole thing for us. That was a fairytale wedding. I just loved her dress. Her train was so long but yet elegant. You can see by looking at Kate & William that they really love each other, know each other and will have a long and happy marriage. When you looked at Diana and Charles you saw a very young girl, very shy and frightened. Diana did turn into the people's princess and did quite a lot of charitable work. In the end England loved her more than they liked or tolerated Charles.

Royal Wedding

Did you watch the Royal Wedding Friday? I woke up and turned on the television and there they were saying their vows. I thought Kate's wedding dress was exquisite. It was gorgeous. So appropriate for the wedding. She truly looked beautiful. Her second dress was also beautiful. I loved them driving away in the royal carriage - so regal. I thought her sister Pippa's dress was pretty - it reminded me of a nightdress. I am not sure I liked her dress for the reception thought it was a big revealing.

What did you think of those outrageous hats - I thought the two cousins Beatrice and Eugenie's hats were out there. I thought the Queen looked beautiful too - perfect in yellow - yellow in my book stands for happiness and she looked quite happy at the wedding.

It must have been hard for William to be in that church knowing that his mother was married and buried from there. She was definitely missed.

The Back-up Plan

We watched the Back-up Plan tonight. It was all right - very very slow. Jennifer Lopez and Alex O'Loughlin did not have the chemistry to pull this off. Linda Lavin and Tom Bosley were both in it - it was very sad to see them - very old - not like I used to remember them. Would I recommend it ? if there isn't anything else to rent then get it.

My new favorite store!!

I have found my new favorite store - Dressbarn. My mom and I went there shopping - what a great store - if you need a dress they have tons of them - all different colors, sizes, styles you name it they have it. The staff was so accommodating. The dressing room was beautiful - it looked like you stepped into a designer showroom - chandeliers, beautiful chairs and couches. I can't wait to go again.

Breaking Dawn 1 & 2

The filming for the three major characters is all done for Breaking Dawn. Kristen, Rob and Taylor are all done. I take that back, Kristen & Rob have to do reshoots for the honeymoon scene in the Virgin Islands. The secondary cast - the Cullens and some other vampires are finishing up in Vancouver. I can't believe that it is almost done - what a great twilight ride this has been. I can't wait for the next two movies!! Can you?

Water for Elephants

Have you seen the new movie Water for Elephants? I am probably going next week. It looks awesome. I can't wait. I loved the book. Rob Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, Christopher Waltz, Hal Holbrook and of course Tai the elephant are in it. What a great cast. Have you ever been to a circus? I never have so this should be a very interesting movie.

How do you know?

We saw this movie last night. It was very slow. I do like Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson but there was not a lot of chemistry. Paul Rudd's assistant in the movie played by Kathryn Hahn was actually the best part of the movie. She was great. Jack Nicholson was in it also. He looked awful - he has put on some weight and actually looks sick. Would I recommend it - yes.

Love and other Drugs

We saw this movie last week - it was good. It is definitely not a kid's movie. It was sad. Jake & Anne did a good job.

Happy Easter!!

I would like to wish everyone a happy and joyous Easter. Enjoy the ham and candy!!

Gettysburg

We went to Gettysburg last weekend - we had a great time. The city is full of history - from the battlefields to the actual farms, and houses. If you go you should definitely go to the Visitor's Center. It is new and shows a film, cyclodrama and museum. Very informative. We also drove around the fields and saw where the fighting was. My dad and mom had gone a long time ago and my dad ran across the field that was where Pickett's charge was yelling charge !! Needless to say my mom was a bit embarrassed. (Dad was a history teacher and loved all of it). We ate at some nice restaurants too. It was a coincidence but this past week on April 12, 150 years ago the civil war started. For the next four or five years they will be celebrating the 150 year anniversary with different things going on each weekend. There were quite a bit of people there visiting - a lot of school kids and bus trips - I am sure this summer it will be mobbed.

Minding Frankie by Maeve Binchey

I read this book the other day - it is great - if you have not read any of Maeve Binchey's books you should do so. They are mostly in Ireland and always have a great cast of characters. I really enjoyed it!! You should definitely give it a read.
