Oscars 2011 - Anne Hathaway & James Franco

What did you think of the Oscars? I only watched the first half hour and I was not impressed. Kirk Douglas coming out and doing the best supporting actress was awful - I felt so bad for him. What were they thinking. I did watch the Red Carpet on E! and also ABC - the dresses were beautiful. Did everyone win that you wanted to? I thought it was pretty boring - no upsets. Here are some dress I thought were beautiful on the red carpet. I loved Reese Witherspoon's black and white dress. Hailee Stenfield's dress was just perfect for her. She must have had the best night being there and seeing all the stars. Amy Adams dress was very pretty. Helen Mirren's dress suited her perfectly.

Snow & Wind !!!

We had very wild weather here today - snow, wind gusts up to 40 - white out conditions - it was great just staying inside and watching out the windows!!

Sex and the City II

I saw Sex and the City II this past week. I thought it was okay - terribly long and very raunchy. The clothes were absolutely over-the-top and I would never ever wear. I only like Charlotte's clothes probably because they were classic. Taking it to the middle east was stupid. They should have stayed in NY. I did love Carrie and Big's apartment and also her closet. Thought it was weird that she still had her apartment. I am glad I did not pay full price to see it. I heard that they were thinking of making another one in 5 years - by then they will be using walkers and sneakers instead of high heels!!

Glee's Superbowl Show

Did you watch the Glee episode after the super bowl. I did!! It was great - I love Thriller - it brought me back to the original Thriller Michael Jackson - they have such great voices. I thought the makeup was spot on. It was great that the girls stepped up and came out to play football and help the team!!

The Princess Bride

We watched an oldie but a goodie - The Princess Bride - I had only seen bits and pieces of this movie - I rented it from the library last weekend. I really enjoyed it. It stars two very young Robin Wright Penn and Cary Elwes. Also Billy Crystal, Mandy Patinkin and Chris Sarandon. With something for everyone, The Princess Bride combines romance, action, adventure and parody to create the perfect movie. If you haven't seen it you should definitely rent it!!

Sorceror's Apprentice

We watched the Sorceror's apprentice with Nicholas Cage. I was pleasantly surprised - it was very good. Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. An Object of Beauty - Steve Martin

I did finish this book - I really enjoyed it. If you want to know all about the art scene, ie Sotheby's, Christies, paintings you name I would definitely recommend it!
