We went to this museum today in Canajoharie, New York. Now some of you might know that town from Beech-Nut Foods. That is where it all started. This museum was great. One of the presidents of Beech-nut Bartlet Arkell started this museum in 1927 at the library across from the plant. It recently reopened in a new building, with exhibitions on American art and Mohawk Valley history attached to the old stone library. They have quite a number of paintings and also the history behind the Beech-Nut Foods - old advertising, etc. We really enjoyed it. If you need a little road trip it is only about two hours away. We also ate at a little restaurant called Melissa's - great sandwiches and soup. You should check it out.
