I threw one of my favorite people a bridal shower along with my mother. It was yesterday - it was a daisy themed one. I had a lot of ideas that I got from another blog. Hope you enjoy the pictures - I made a towel cake with real towels. Everyone thought it was a real wedding cake - I thought it turned out pretty good. I also had tables with mason jars filled with lemons and daisy's in them. I made gingham yellow and gingham green table runners. I had garlands of daisy's everywhere. I designed the cake which our local grocery store made. I bought the watering can at Michael's and told them exactly what I wanted - I thought it came out great. We had appetizer's first - black bean and corn salsa, spinach artichoke dip and cheese and crackers. For food we had wraps and pita sandwiches, fruit salad which I put into a basket that I made out of a watermelon, pasta salad and caesar salad. our little favors were little pots with m & m's with the names of the bride and groom and their wedding date. It was such a good time. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The bride received many gifts. I also made a picture frame for them to put their wedding picture in. Enjoy the pictures!!

wow everything is so awesome, what a display! bet a good time was had by all-nice to see you back on your blog.
ReplyDeleteEllen, my how ELABORATE you are!! WOW!! Those pix are FANTASTIC!! What a party planner you are!! All the work that went into that Definately paid off! You should go back to that blog that you got those ideas from and tell them about how you were inspired by their decorations. I know an individual that went to that party and they kept going on and on about how wonderful it was. So when you retire, you should start up a business of party planning. I'll bet your hubby would go for it. Maybe you could meet up with the Skaneatles (spelling?) crowd and get your business going out there. : )
